Nicolae Stoica graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bucharest in 1925, being present in Baia Mare between 1922 and 1926. From this moment he devoted himself almost entirely to religious painting, restoring several churches, making himself remarkable for the accuracy of his painting. In 1930, 1932 and 1933, he exhibited easel painting at the Official Salon, where he is noted by the great historian and cultural man Nicolae Iorga, who supports him in obtaining a scholarship in Italy between 1934 and 1937. The Lăcătuş street represents a journey through time, an opposite perspective to the one that Nicolae Apostol had, decades later, from the opposite end of the street, in a distinct approach, which we invite you to watch.
